IAPMO Seeks Volunteers to Serve on 2023 WE•Stand Technical Committee
IAPMO® is seeking volunteers to participate on the technical committee working toward the development of the 2023 edition of the Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard (WE•Stand). The deadline to submit an application is July 5.
The WE•Stand Technical Committee seeks members in the following categories: Consumer, Enforcing Authority, Design Professional, Installer/Maintainer, Labor, Manufacturer, User, and Special Expert. These committees are assembled in accordance with the Regulations Governing Consensus Development of the WE•Stand. This document may be downloaded HERE.
The purpose of the WE•Stand is to provide minimum requirements to optimize water use practices attributed to the built environment while maintaining protection of the public health, safety and welfare. Increasing demand, constrained infrastructure and supplies, climate change, and pervasive droughts globally all accentuate the critical need to reduce water consumption through conservation and reuse. With this conservation, however, comes increased risks to public health, safety and building systems performance. This standard provides standardized methodologies to achieve conservation without compromising safety.
