The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) WaterSense program would like to announce that public comments received on the WaterSense Draft Specification for Flushometer-Valve Water Closets are now posted on the WaterSense website. The document is a compilation of the written comments received during the public comment period, which closed on March 20, 2015. The presentation and meeting summary from the January 15, 2015, public meeting were posted earlier. WaterSense is reviewing the public comments received and intends to issue a final specification for commercial flushometer-valve water closets this fall.
WaterSense would like to remind its stakeholders that manufacturers, retailers, and distributors that produce or sell flushometer-valve water closets—which consist of both a flushometer valve and a water closet fixture—are now eligible to partner with WaterSense. Retailers and distributors are eligible for partnership if they publicly sell to customers without requiring installation or consulting services. WaterSense partners gain access to an online suite of tools and resources to promote their partnership, WaterSense labeled products, and water efficiency in general.
