Finding the Keys to Water In Congress: How YOU can Track, Testify on, and Transform Legislation on Water

Thursday November 7th , 4:00pm PST / 7:00pm EST

Water Citizen presents... A FREE webinar

Public awareness of water is higher than it has ever been. People who are aware of and passionate about water ("Water Citizens") have sought to make a difference on water issues that impact their lives, their families, their communities, their country - even the planet and humanity throughout the world.

In many cases, Water Citizens have sought to make a difference on water issues through engagement with the U.S. Congress. Water Citizen News has spoken with several Water Citizens who have gotten involved with Water in Congress - who have learned to understand the process and make a difference.

Understanding Water in Congress is not a simple process, though. In 2012, the Congressional Research Service (CRS) identified 26 different federal agencies responsible for water-related activities (ALL of which are impacted by the ongoing budget uncertainty), and 15 different committees in the House and Senate with responsibilities for oversight and funding of these federal activities.

Water Citizen has created a new program called the Keys to Water in Congress (KWIC) that "reveals how water flows through Congress."

Join us for a FREE Webinar on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 7pm EST/ 4pm PST entitled: "The Keys to Water in Congress: How to Track, Testify On, and Transform Water Legislation."
Learn how to develop your own Water-In-Congress Strategy so you can "know more, be heard, and make a difference" on Water in Congress.
