IAPMO Begins Sponsorship of "Home Talk USA" Nationally Syndicated Radio Show
IAPMO and radio host Michael King, the “Cajun Contractor,” have announced the association has joined as a sponsor of King’s nationally syndicated radio program, “Home Talk USA.”
Broadcasting Saturdays and Sundays in 217 radio markets covering all 50 states (and available in 47 countries worldwide), “Home Talk USA” explores issues concerning home improvements, introduces the consumer to new and innovative products, provides access to industry experts, protects homeowners from consumer fraud, holds the home improvement industry accountable for its business practices, and advocates for a fair and mutual relationship between the consumer and the contractor.
“IAPMO has been devoted to developing model codes for peoples’ health and safety since 1926 and we want to let people know,” said Allen Inlow, IAPMO senior director of business and product development. “Michael King's home improvement program reaches a vast audience across the United States and internationally, carrying a message of consumer protection and quality construction. Working together is a natural partnership that will benefit every one of his listeners.”
King, a Louisiana state-licensed general contractor, started the program in January 2004 in New Orleans and has since grown the show to reach 5.1 million listeners weekly via national syndication and Webcasting. Among King’s accolades are the National Radio Association’s 2011 Radio Talk Show Host of the Year. Apollo Media ranked King the third-most recognizable name in the home improvement industry and OrbitzMediaRating identified him as the 49th-most influential personality on all of radio.
“Home Talk USA” can be heard Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon EST, on the LifeStyle Talk Radio Network (http://www.lifestyletalkradio.com/), 4-7 p.m. EST on the Genesis Communications Radio Network (http://www.gcnlive.com/) and Sundays, 7-8 a.m. EST, on the Business Talk Radio Network (http://www.businesstalkradio.net/).
