Congratulations to Bill Erickson, Recipient of the MCAA Distinguished Service Award
IAPMO would like to extend its congratulations to Bill Erickson, recipient of the 2012 MCAA Distinguished Service award.
The award—the association's highest award—was presented on March 19, during the Opening General Session of the association's annual convention in Florida.
William " Bill" Erickson is a third generation leader of C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co., a 100-year old family plumbing business that employs more than 100 union plumbers. He has been a licensed plumber and a member of the UA for more than thirty years.
Erickson also serves on the IAPMO Board of Directors, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a contractor director-at-large.
Erickson's strong commitment to service and family is reflected in his altruistic works. In commemoration of its centennial anniversary in 2006, C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. committed to a year of charitable contributions to the community. Under Erickson's leadership, the company has been involved with numerous fundraisers benefiting Metropolitan Family Services in Chicago and has logged more than 800 hours of community service.
Erickson currently serves as chairman of IAPMO's Green Technical Committee. He has previously served as secretary of the Plumbing Council of Chicagoland, board member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), and co-chair of the 2000 Plumbing Industry Working Committee of Chicagoland. He is an active member of the Government Affairs Committee of the MCAA, the Underground Contractors Association (UCA), the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and has staff members who are active in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
The MCAA Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual for his or her contributions to the progress, development, and expansion of our industry, as well as for outstanding achievement and distinguished service to the Mechanical Contractors Association of America.
Congratulations Bill, the recognition is well deserved! |
